Today I finished a book titled Miss Invisible.
It's an easy read but a must read for anyone who needs a little pick-me up or encouragement. Do you ever find yourself looking down upon really "skinny" or really "fat" people? I use quotations because who is to decide what is "skinny" or "fat"? Every single person is built differently. Every single person looks differently and thinks differently. So I don't think it's possible to come to detailed and defined consensus on the terms. General? Perhaps. Such as, if you can see your bones and you're never eating then it's time you go to a doctor. Or if you find you can't get up off of the sofa then maybe it's time to lay off the chocolate. But then I think, those people are not always at fault for the way they look. Society has pressured people to become thinner and told fat people they're ugly.
And then there's the question: who makes up our society? I'm saying society pressures people. But doesn't that mean that people pressure people? And what kinds of people are doing the pressuring? Models, by allowing editors to air brush their bodies in photos. Photo editors, air brushing the models' photos. Companies, allowing those photos to be used in advertising. The people who own the modeling agencies. And it's not just the modeling section of life either. What about the fashion area, the make-up area, and anything else that advertises products. Tons (but not all) of commercials are filled with skinny girls with skimpy clothes and guys with huge muscles. Come on! Not everyone is like that! And not everyone should be like that either!
Don't get me wrong though, I like my clothes and the occasional make-up I put on. But we don't need to focus our lives around those things. There are so much more important things! Like making others happy, taking care of the environment, being happy yourself, and gaining as much knowledge as possible.
It's your very own duty to accept yourself and to accept others. To make yourself the best self you can be. That's the point of this blog. I don't know how well my thoughts came out. I'm not going to reread this either or edit it. Maybe I should, but not today. I think I'll make this post public as well. Not that anyone else will read it, but it's possible.
What is your favorite dish on the Thanksgiving table?

Homemade stuffing. If you haven't tried my mom's recipe then you have absolutely no clue what you are missing.
Es muy interesante.
